A PCC/CTOP/PDAC/PCAC Designation awarded in a calendar year will be required to acquire the applicable CE hours to maintain the designation beginning January 1 of the following calendar year.

This course is required within the first 12 months of taking office for elected/appointed County Tax Assessor-Collectors whose offices collect property taxes and were originally sworn in after June 2017.

Online modules offered by the V.G. Young Institute of County Government

TACA Continuing Education courses are available for anyone needing continuing education credit hours under SB546/SB929 and/or the TACA Professional Designation Certification Programs.

Visit the V.G. Young Institute website for more information and to create an account. Payment must be by Visa or MasterCard.

What to expect:  

  • Courses consists of tutorial, comprehensive review and evaluation
  • Each course will take at least 1 hour to complete
  • Participants can print their certificate upon course completion
  • The Institute will report participant completion to Texas Association of Counties for TACA and SB546 credit
